Sanitary Mixing Pump

Applications

• Mixing pumps are suitable for those applications where low to medium viscous media have to be mixed in barrels and other containers before they will be pumped.
• In food industry, it can help in milk powder preparation, syrups production, salt solution modulation and many other similar processes.
• In pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, it can be used for solid-liquid mixing.

Operating Principles

• The mixing pump basically consists of a housing and a vertically assembled centrifugal impeller. On the suction side there are a hopper and a pipe to keep the solid and liquid separated in order to avoid floc formation before the materials entering the housing.
• The liquid enters the mixing chamber at a very high speed, creating a vacuum at the impeller center and causing the suction of solid into the chamber.
• To avoid the possibility of cavitation, it is necessary to keep low pressure on the suction and drainage sides.

• Mechanical seals: SIC/SIC/EPDM(standard)
